  • 1927 - 12th September: Wichard Gustav Gottfried Schwarzlose was born in Breslau, Germany
  • 1928 - 16th September: Roma Patricia Gray was born in Sydney, Australia
  • 1939 – 1945: World War 2
  • 1927 - 12th September: Wichard completed a carpentry trade test certificate in carpentry and joinery in Hannover, Germany
  • 1952 - 4th January – 10th February: Wichard travelled on the MS Nelly from Bremerhaven to Melbourne via Cape Town along with 52 other 'Jennings Germans'
  • 1951 – 1952: Roma was the Canberra YWCA’s Physical Activities & Social Activities Secretary
  • 1952-1954: Wichard and Roma met through their involvement in the YMCA & YWCA organisations
  • 1954 - 18th December: Wichard married Roma in Bright, Victoria
  • 1955: Roma travelled to Brewarrina to live with Wichard who was building in the bush, they lived in tents/shearers’ huts
  • 1956 - 7th February: Jennifer Elizabeth Schwarzlose was born in Brewarrina
  • 1957 - 27th November: Wichard renounced his German citizenship at a Naturalisation Ceremony at the Brewarrina Council Chambers (according to a newspaper article published in The Western Herald on 6th December 1957)
  • 1958 - 4th September: Rodney Peter Schwarzlose was born in Brewarrina
  • 1960: Wichard, Roma, Jennifer & Rodney moved from Brewarrina to Canberra
  • 1962 - 15th April: Vaughn John Schwarzlose was born in Canberra
  • 1965 - 25th October: Wichard passed away
  • 2005: Vaughn’s daughter (Wichard’s granddaughter) Emily started researching her paternal family history
  • 2009: Emily went on Rotary Exchange to Germany and met Wichardsiblings (Rosel Jobst), nieces nephews
